Photo Essay : One Picture Every Day

Do you think I like taking pictures? No, I love it! I couldn't put my hands away from my camera since I came here. My goal in GlPS is taking 1000 pictures, and I took 656 pictures. There are some interesting tapes and lots of funny pictures in my memory chip. However, I'll present 7 pictures that can remind me my favorite memories in GLPS.

It was taken at a 'hu-ge-so' at January 5th, 2014, it's the picture of foods that I ate there, and it was taken to see when I'm hungry. It was a very delicious meal because I hadn't  eaten ramyun or gim-bap for more than 3 months. However, I couldn't eat all of them because I was dizzy from riding bus for 4 hours.

It was taken at the outdoor yard of the dormitory at January 8th, 2014, it's the picture of me wearing skiing outfit, and it was taken because I looked cool. Wearing ski suit or ski goggle was okay, but wearing the mask was very uncomfortable because I couldn't breathe as well as usual. However, I put it anyway because it was so soft and made me warm.

It was taken at the first basement of the dormitory at January 9th, 2014, it's the picture of Poobie waiting in front of the elevator to surprise his friends, and it was taken because the situation was very funny. When his friends finally arrived and found Poobie, they leaped and yelled in surprise, so we laughed.

It was taken at the auditorium at January 10th, 2014, it's the picture of the title of the movie <Frozen>, and it was taken to prove to my friends that I watched this movie when it was not opened to Korea yet. I didn't expect to be fun, but it was actually good. When it's open to Korea. I'm going to watch it again with my family at the movie theater.

It was taken at the gym at January 11th, 2014, it's the picture of one of my roommates singing <One thing-by One Direction>, and it was taken to show it to him. This song was nice, but other songs like <The Fox> were too noisy, so I was glad when I found out that I had brought my earplugs. As for our class, we sang <Kung-fu Fighting>, which was an old-fashioned song.

It was taken at the Taekwondo hall at January 14th, 2014, it's the picture of a poor boy screaming because of the 'uncontrollable pain that only boys can feel', and it was taken to show it to my friends. It's very funny when you are the looker, but you wouldn't agree with this if you're a boy and you are in this unfortunate situation.

It was taken at the gym at January 18th, 2014, it's a picture of a boy(or a man) dancing at the stage for the GLPS dance party, and it was taken because his performance was cool. It was not too noisy like the Pop-song Contest, but the dances were very active and some of them  were extremely entertaining to watch.

I've shown you my 7 pictures which represent my favorite memories in GLPS. They were pictures of food I ate, my skiing outfit, Poobie, movie that I watched, Pop-song Contest,  screaming friends, and the dance party. Video tapes may be more entertaining, but these pictures are the things that could make me remind better.

Movie Review of

The movie <Frozen>'s genre is animation, since Disney made it, but you can say it is adventure, because it is very adventurous, or family, because some of the characters are family to each other. This movie was made in 2013. So it was released on November at U.S.A., but it will be released on January at Korea. The story is based on one of Andersen's book <Snow Queen>, but the details are totally different. The film directors are Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. This movie is mainly about a queen who can control ice and those who try to stop her for specific reason that I'm going to talk about now.

The main story begins with the scene of two sisters playing with their magic. While playing, Elsa accidentally freezes Anna's head. Anna is being cured by trolls, but her childhood memory with Elsa is being removed by them. Since that day, Elsa begins to be afraid of her power, and keeps Anna away from her to keep her safe. After her parents died, Elsa becomes a queen. However, at the coronation day, she accidentally reveal her ability to control ice while fighting with Anna about her engagement and curses the whole Arendelle by freezing it. Because of this event, Elsa runs away and Anna begins to search for her. While searching, Anna becomes friends with Kristoff and Olaf. She eventually finds her sister, but Elsa refuses to go back and freezes Anna's heart. When she was taken to trolls, they say that only a kiss from her true love could save her. So Kristoff takes her to prince Hans. But prince Hans betray her because of his own selfishness and goes out to kill the queen to become a ruler himself. While characters are hanging around for their own reasons, Anna has to choose either to be cured, or protect Elsa from being killed. So Anna chooses to sacrifice for Elsa, and when she throws her hand to stop Hans' sword, her body coincidentally freezes. But eventually, Anna is being cured by hugging with Elsa, and Elsa takes away the curse by feeling love, so it's happy ending.

There are 8 main characters in this movie. The first is Elsa, the queen who was born with the power of controlling ice.

The second is Anna, Elsa's memory-removed little sister.

The third is Olaf, the magical snowman that Elsa made who likes spring and summer.

The fourth is Kristoff, the man who is Anna's true love.

The fifth is Sven, Kristoff's funny reindeer.

The sixth is trolls, the magical creatures that helps curing Anna and tells her to marry Kristoff.

The seventh is prince Hans, the selfish man that betrayed Anna and tried to kill Elsa.

And the last is the duke from Weseltown, who also wanted the power, or an old man who overreacts.

The landscape of the movie is Norway, and the feeling is the winter season of Wyoming.

The lesson that the watchers of this movie should learn is that "You must consider before doing". In the movie, Anna tried to marry prince Hans. They first met, and knew almost nothing about each other. That is why they 'broke up' at the end. Also, Anna were fallen in love with Kristoff, who had a journey together and had times to get know each other. So you must take it slowly when you are trying to do something very important in your life. Also, if I summarize this into one sentence, the leadership you can learn from this movie is 'Patience'.

I've talked about the genre, when it was made, the author of the book and film director, the plot, characters and setting, and the lesson we can learn from this movie. There are many movies which has not organized story so we call them 'mak-jang', but its story was  well-organized and was easy to understand the plot. So ultimately, this animation was great.

Self-Introduction

My name is 'Park Jimin', which means 'be a honest, wise, and clever guy'. But my classmates just call me 'Bak Ji', which means 'bat'.

My hobby is reading fantasy books. For example, I like <Harry Potter> series by Joanne Rowling, <Eragon> by Christopher Paolini, but I reading <Lord of the Ring> because it's boring. I also like to take pictures of people. I this camp, I was able to take pictures of those who I wanted to take pictures except teacher H.Kerber.

My favorite food is 'Taco-yaki', a Japanese bread.
I think Japanese taco-yaki bread is better than Korean bread, but the Korean sauce is much tastier than Japanese sauce.

My family and my grandparents are all christian.
I don't know why, but I feel very                                       proud about this. I even brought my bible to this camp!
